On the outside, Achachairu is a fruit of bright orange color with a smooth but hard skin. Its shape is round to oblong with a diameter of about 4 cm and a length of 6 cm.

Its inside is filled with a white flesh that has a semi acidic flavor with a great fragrance and a creamy texture.
